TAIERI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY

The vice-president (Mr J. S. Blackie) presided at the monthly meeting of the above society held at Outram. A letter was received from the Otago branch of the New Zealand Friesian Association advising that it would" make a donation for the best registered female bred by exhibitors provided the entries in the" Friesian classes were 12 or more. A letter was received from Mr R. L. Graham, Mosgiel, asking if a class for Suffolk sheep would be included at the annual show. It was decided that classes bo included in the schedule for Suffolk and Dorich horn sheep. The sum of £2 was donated by the society towards prizes for a stock judging competition. open to members of young farmers’ clubs. Miss I. and Mr R. (Reid donated a cup for competition in the light horse section at the annual show.—Received with thanks.
