Night Queen continues to improve and should soon salute the judge. Her owner lias Ron Stewart’s Swift Lady in hand. Beaupartir went well for Mrs Keenan. His name is the first to be engraved on the Berry Cup (second class). Ginger Jack, from the same kennel, is still as good a hurdler as ever, and showed the way home again last week. Gus Campbell’s dogs went well, but are not quite tuned up yet. Winchester’s little fellow. Overcast, is tough and always handy. This dog is good for his weight. Hot Luck showed his brilliance by giving the front-markers 7Jycls and leading them borne. This dog is one of New Zealand’s best. Phantom Gold had her stamina tested. She faced the starter five times for three firsts and two seconds—good going for a light dog. The club’s next date is October 5. when the Happy Days and Edmonds Cups will bo the highlights. Osborne Laddie is on a tight mart: in hurdle racing. However, he is good in this class of event. C. Monhonick was unlucky to run against Beaupartir with his dog, Irish Paddy.
