BURNS CLUB

MONTHLY CONCERT Tho Concert Chamber of the Town Hall was well patronised when the Dunedin Burns Club held its monthly concert last night. Preparations were well advanced for the Hallowe’en concert, the president (Mr Arthur Macdonald) reminded members. It would be held at the end of next month, and as it was the club’s jubilee year tho concert should be one of the best over organised Last evening’s programme was as follows:—Pipe selection, Piper J. M‘Vean; song, Miss Hazel Clyde; piano-accordion solo, Miss Green; song, Master Alan Cunningham; sword dance Misses Shirley Smith and Mavis Patterson; song, Mr Albert Walmsley; recitation, Mrs Olliver; quartet, the Messrs Bolting; xylophone solo, Mr Walter Sinton; song, Mrs I. Longworth ; scan triubhais, Miss Nonna Marshall; song, Mr. James Miller. Miss Muriel Caddie was the accompanist.
