SOCKS RE-FOOTED
When knitting socks, remember to knit in the ordinary way until you turn tlio heel, then pick up side stitches and knit backwards and forwards without touching tho front needle until about to decrease the toe. Next break off wool; then knit the front needle the same length as the sole and continue to knit from there in rounds, decreasing and finishing the socks in the usual way. Sew up the side seams. When the socks require refooting, only the sole need be reknitted.
