DOMINION HATS
compliment to TEOOPS London milliners arc paying a compliment, to the troops from New’ Zealand, Australia, and Canada. The latest fashions include new' felt hats which are modelled on the lines of those worn by overseas soldiers. They are called “ Dominion ” hats, and are made in almost every shade. They cost about 14s lid. The “ As You Like It ” hat, as its name implies, can be worn at different angles with the brim arranged as you please. It is made of fox felt, which has a. hairy surface. Few women have time these days to spend on elaborate hairdressing. Curls, however*, are essential, and with so many women engaged in practical work, short hair is by far the most popular style. Hundreds of women with wellgroomed heads are their own hairdressers. The secret is a “ Bubbles ” shortcut “ perm.” The cutting is a highly scientific process, but w’hen this and the “ perm ” have been done, three or four minutes is enough to dress and arrange the hair, and a repeat visit is not necessary for at least sis months.
