The marriage took place on Saturday morning, September 7, at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, of William Francis, youngest son of Mrs Troy and the lato Mr Troy, Milton, and Lucy Mary, youngest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs R. Lauren, Dunedin. Tho Rev. Father Gavin celebrated the Nuptial Mass and Miss Mario Hunt presided at the organ. During the ceremony Miss Bessie Gallien rendered the solos * Ave Marie ’ and ‘ AVings of a Dove.’ The bride wore a frock of ivory satin cut on classical linos, her tulle veil was held in place by n_ coronet of orange blossom, ami sbe carried a bouquet of hyacinths, lilies, and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Susie Thomson, and flower girl, Miss Patricia Martin <nicco of the bride), both wore Victorian frocks of petunia taffetta, and carried bouquets to tone. Mr Jack Troy attende'd his brother as best man, while duties of ushers were carried out by Messrs Jack and Jim Lauren. At the reception, held in the R.S.A. Hall. Mrs C. C. Charles (sister of the bride) received the guests assisted by Mrs Troy.
