WAITATI CRICKET CLUB

The annual meeting of the Waitati Cricket Club was held on Thursday night, with a fair attendance of members. .The president (Mr P. Bnscoe), spoke of the successful season enjoyed last year. All the games had been plaved in a really sporting spirit, and although the unsettled conditions prevailing at the present time would probably result in fewer matches being played, he looked forward to another year of success for the club. The election of officers resulted m the following being elected:—President Mr P. Briscoe; vice-presidents— Messrs H Bennett, J. Patton and Crosbv Morris; secretary, Mr J. B. Powell; captain, Mr J. Kearney; vuecaptain, Mr H. Blacklaw; auditor Mr W Robinson; committee —Messrs Bns. coe, Powell, Connor, Kettle, and Thom. sou . It was decided to open the season or September 28 at Bland Park.
