8,142 NOW OCCUPIED [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, September 17. Discussing housing to-day, Mr Armstrong said that one-third of the aggregate of houses being built by tha State were in Auckland. That was not because he treated Auckland applicants more favourably than applicants from elsewhere, but because „ Auckland had the men and the materials'to construes houses. He said that in 128 cities and towns throughout the Dominion 11,343 houses had been built, or were_ under construction, the number occupied being 8,142.
