' They break in pieces Thy people, O Lord, and afflict Thine heritage. They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless. And they say, the Lord shall not see, neither doth the God of Jacob consider.—(Psalm 94: 4-7 J Almighty God, Who judgeth aright, tve pray that the nations engaged in war may be delivered from the passions of hatred and anger, and from all self-righteousness. May those whose might‘ is their law, and whose tvord is arrogance without truth, learn the folly and sinfulness of their ways. In tho Spirit of Christ we pray that Thou ivill forgive all who have wilfully disregarded truth and justice, that nations all may be united in one holy bond of truth and goodwill: through Jesus Christ our Lord.
