Daily Intercession
God of Pity
Like as a father pitieth His children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him. For He knoweth our frame. He remembcreth that we are dust. As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so ho flourisheth. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children's children.—(Psalm 103: 13-17.)
Our Merciful Father, grant to us true repentance for all our faults and failures, wherein tve have not done justly, nor loved mercy, nor walked humbly ivith Thee, our God. Deliver us from self-righteousness and self-deception, and give us constant faith in Thee, zeal for Thy righteousness, a humble sense of our absolute dependence upon Thee, and a grateful acknowledgment of Thy mercies. Lead us in ways of right, and truth and peace: through Jesus Christ our Lord.
