FRENCH NAVAL UNITS
\ THREE CRUISERS AND THREE DESTROYERS PASS GIBRALTAR BELIEVED TO BE JOINING DE GAULLE GIBRALTAR, September 13. (Received September 14, at 12.8 p.m.) British naval authorities confirm that the French cruisers Gloire, Montcalm, and Georges Leygues, and the destroyers L’Audacieux, Le Mail, Le Fantasque passed into the Atlantic from the east. Their destination has not been disclosed but it is believed that they are rallying to General de Gaulle. MILITARY CASUALTIES WAR OFFICE LIST LONDON. September 13. (Received September 14, at 12.35 p.m.) The forty-third War Office casualty list contains the names of 367 men, including two officers and 161 other ranks killed, and three officers and 187 other ranks wounded. SIX KILLED EXPLOSION IN FIAT WORKS TURIN, September 13. (Received September 14, at 12.35 p.m.) Five soldiers, and one civilian were killed and several injured while they were digging out an unexploded bomb which the British dropped on the Fiat works some days ago WOUNDED GERMAN PILOTS HOSPITAL BOMBED BY COMPATRIOTS (British Official Wireleea.) RUGBY, September 13. (Received September 14, at 2 p.m.) Wounded German pilots in a hospital in a south-east town were among the many to have a fortunate escape when the hospital was bombed from about 5,000 ft by a single raider on Thursday afternoon Twenty-three other people in the rest of the town were less fortunate, five being killed and IS injured.
