LOST TRADE
N.Z. FISH FOR FIJI CONVEYED FROM SYDNEY [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, September 10. The statement that, because the Matson vessels did not carry general cargo from Auckland, New Zealand fish was bought in Sydney for conveyance by these ships to Fiji is contained in a letter received by the Auckland Chamber of Commerce from the Fiji Chamber of Commerce. The Suva Chamber explained that, while its members were anxious to support British shipping, the present inadequate facilities offering from Auckland simply meant that orders wore being diverted to Sydney for carriage in Alatson vessels from Australian ports, and trade was consequently' lost to the Dominion.
