EX-DUNEDIN NAVAL ARTILLERY
ANNUAL REUNION The Ex-Dunedin Naval Artillery Association held its annual reunion last Saturday, in the Crawford Lounge, when 60 officers and members of the old company were present. Apologies were received from Sir James Allen and Commander Fraser, R.N.V.R. The president (Mr W. B. Fowler) occupied the chair, and with him were Dr W. Newlands and Messrs R. A. Mnckie and E. Turner (vice-president). ‘The Reveille ’ was sounded and roll called. Toasts honoured were: “ The King and Empire” (Mr W. B. Fowler); ‘‘The Old Brigade” (Dr Newlands), reply, Mr R. M'Kinlay; “ Absent and Fallen Comrades ” (Mr A. W. Palmer) ; Mr Fowler sounded the ‘ Last Post ‘‘The Navy ami All On Service ” (Mr J. Barnes, reply Mr J. Whaiteri); ‘‘The Association Founders and Past Presidents ” (Mr G. Manson: Messrs R. A. Mackie, W. A. St. Clair, and R. Smith), Items were given by Messrs J. Barnes, T. Valentine, J. Morrison, C. Morgan, G. Ansell, B. Power, C. Abbott, and W. B. Fowler. Mr E. Turner conducted a community sing. Mr P. Beaumont was the accompanist.
