LAND FOR FLAX GROWING
OWNER CLAIMS £120,000 [Per United Press Association.] PALMERSTON N.. September 10. A special sitting of tire Compensation Court began the hearing of a claim for nearly £120,000 ns the price of 4,565 acres of land at Moutoa (Poston) owned by F. S. Easton, the area having been taken by the Crown under the Public Works Act to be used for flaxgrowing as supply for the woolpack and textile industry. Mr Justice Smith is presiding, with Mr M. F. Bourke and Mr IV. R. Birnie as assessors. The evidence is proceeding.
