IMPORT LICENSES

SCHEDULES DUE WITHIN FORTNIGHT PERIOD OF YEAR EXPECTED [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND. September 10. The schedules for the fifth period of import licenses are expected to he issued throughout the Dominion within a fortnight, and it is generally anticipated that tho period to be covered will be a year instead of six months. Tho extension will be welcomed in commercial circles, where greater elasticity is needed; also in departmental offices, where the changes resulting from the war have thrown an added burden on Customs officials.
