Hare, who left all her money and effects to her companion, Miss Mathildc Caroline Koeuen, was a mystery to occupants of flats in the same building, who obtained only brief glimpses of her. The porter saw her only once in eight years—when ho Was called up to attend to the radiators. She spent the whole of her time Indoors, with the two grand pianos and a, valuable violin, which were also loft to her by her dead friend. She was never known to use the motor car which was also left to her.
