GASWORKS CLUB Tho annual meeting of tho above club was held on Monday, Mr D. IJrquhart being in the chair. J. M‘Gilvary, winner of tho batting average, and M. Walker, the bowling average, were congratulated by the chairman, who also spoke of the very enjoyable games played by the club. The election of officers resulted:—President, Mr D. Urquhart; vice-presidents, members of the Gas Committee and Mr Frank Millar ; club captain, Mr J. Stewart,; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. Crossan; committee —Messrs T. Urquhart, G. Calder, W. M'Combie, and M. Walker; selector, Mr G. Calder. It was decided to open the season on October 14.
