OTAGO V. SOUTHLAND The return match between Otago and Southland for the Donald Stuart Memorial Shield will be played at Carisbrook on Saturday. The Otago team has been considerably improved since its defeat at Invercargill, and it is anticipated it will put up a good pex - - formance against the Southlanders. Two curtain-raisers will be played. At noon a South Otago third grade representative team will play a Dunedin fourth grade representative team, and at 1.30 the Otago referees will play the Southland referees for a cup which has been presented for competition at this annual fixture.
The box plan -will be opened at Begg’s to-morrow and will be closed at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Patrons are reminded that admission to the stand enclosure will bo by the Burns street entrance only. Ground tickets will be on sale at the Otago Sports Depot and Jacobs’s. Official guides containing full particulars of teams and players will be on sale at the Otago Sports Depot, Jacobs’s, and Carisbrook.
