The recent depression continues its slow movement eastwards, and is , now, * centred south of the Kermadecs. An anti-cyclone covers the Tasman., Forecast: Light to moderate winds, with southerly predominating at first. Some rain in eastern districts, but weather otherwise fair. Cool temperatures, with frosts to-night. Slight seas. LOCAJ. REPORT. Maximum temperature to-day, 48.2 deg. Maximum yesterday (24 hours), 69.5 deg. Minimum to-day, 45.8 deg. Minimum yesterday, 43deg. Barometric pressure at 1 p.xn., rising at 29.9 in (1,012 millibars). Rain to 9 a.m., .04in. Light south-westerly breeze. AT OTHER CENTRES.
