KNOCK-OUT COMPETITION ; fcASY WIN FOR UNIVERSITY The final, of the senior knock-on* hockey competition was played at tna Oval on Saturday between University A, and Albany, the former winning easily by 8 goals to 0. University had the better of the game throughout, and / Albany appeared unable to finish off in the circle. The only other senior game was that between High School Old Boys and Training College, Old Boys winning tha day by 4 goals to 0. OTAGO A v. OTAGO B. , , The two Otago senior representative teams played a match, which was won by the A team by 5 goals to 3. , The I teams were not as originally selected, 1 and for that reason there was probably less interest in the match than would I otherwise have been, the case. Tt ! served, however, to indicate that there wao not a great deal to choose betweien i the two sides. ' ; - UMPIRES v. KINGS. The non-playing members of the Otago Hockey Umpires’ Association met the Kings A grade team: at the Oval on Saturday and played a match, which ended in a draw., Last year this match gave the women’s team: » victory, but. this time the'men put forth a better effort aiid just managed Ito hold their own. , , *,
