SPIRITUALIST CHURCH

• Our Glorious Opportunity, Individually and Collectively, as a Result of the War,’ was Mr R. N. Ridd’s subject last night. He said: “History shows that, up to the present, the law of fox-ce has been predominant in the world. It is now time to take stock and realise our individual responsibility for the chaotic state of affairs to-day. It must be admitted that the doctrine of might is right has failed miserably to bring peace on earth and goodwill toward “all mankind. Some may ask ‘What can we few do?’ Have we not the example of our great Master, Jesus. Who was faithful, even unto death, for the principles He came to inculcate? His doctrine of love has never been put into practice. There is a great opportunity for the woman of to-day.to help man by her intuitive knowledge of

spiritual things. As mothers and a« wives women have the privilege of guiding the expanding mind of the young and influencing, on constructive, linesi, menfolk generally.” “ Our individual responsibility is_ to continually sound the right note-'in love, so that those who guide the destiny of our nation may have that construetive thought force to aid them in their momentous decisions. Let there be no campaign of hate, vengeance, or political or commercial advantage, but let the love of God actuate every thought and act.” Mr A. W. Stables presided, and a lady member gave a number of clairvoyant messages.
