CLUMSY PROPAGANDA

"WILL NEVER SEPARATE ENGLAND AND FRANCE ” M. DALAOIER SUMS UP THE NAZIS FIRM FAITH IN BRITISH EMPIRE PARIS, September 21. (Received September 22, at 1.30 p.m.) “ German propaganda will never separate England and France,” declared M. Daladier in a nation-wide broadcast. “ Frenchmen will not be duped. The whole country has risen indignantly to oppose such clumsy attempts. There are no traitors in France, only courageous soldiers. We know Britain’s faith from past experience. Her planes are fighting on our side and her sons are fighting in our trenches. Hundreds of millions of. people in the British Empire are working in the common cause.” He exclaimed: “ Show your contempt for German propaganda by ignoring it. I have visited the front, and have seen our soldiers fighting bravely. We are not afraid of a long war, and I firmly believe we shall conquer the enemy. He added: “Despite the efforts of England, America, and Italy, the destruction of Poland! was planned beforehand. Even now Russia and Germany are ruthlessly dividing that country. Poland has suffered a terrible martyrdom, and has displayed great heroism. Her defeat was unavoidable. ■ “A secret treaty encouraged Russia to attack when Poland had succeeded in holding up the first blow. Her dismemberment was planned beforehand, while Hitler pretended that his demands were limited'to the Corridor and a few motor roads.” M. Daladier asked: “ Who now believes Hitler’s peaceful intentions when he has just proved his violence and ruthlessness P This is his war.” M. Daladier then quoted the long list of treaties which Germany had torn up, adding, “ Hitler says he asks nothing from France, hut Frenchmen know that he will not fail to try to destroy France like Austria and Czechoslovakia. France will never allow domination by force and "will never allow soldiers to burn towns and kill, women and children.” BRITISH TROOPS IN FRANCE IN FINE CONDITION AND GOOD HEART LONDON, September 21.
