HEAT WAVE IN LOS ANGELES SCORES OF PEOPLE IN HOSPITAL Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LOS ANGELES, September 19. (Received September 20, at 10 a.m.) The worst heat wave in 22 years entered its fiftieth day with an early temperature of Sodeg to 90deg. Schools are closed and the water consumption is curtailed. Four people are dead and scores have been admitted to hospital. The damage to vine crops, including tomatoes and cantaloupes (muskmelons), is estimated at over 1,000.000 dollars. No general rain has fallen since March.
