PLAYERS NOT AVAILABLE [Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, September 19. Owing to J. Purdue, the Southland half-back, not being available, J. J. M’Auliffo (Canterbury) has been included in the list of emergencies for the South Island team. A. 6. Hunter, one of the nine Canterbury players chosen to take part in the _ trial matches, has announced that he is not available for the trials, which will begin on Saturday, because of his university examinations.
