CRICKET UMPIRES
ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL REPORT The annual reportof the Otago Cricket Umpires’ Association states that the membership is too small. and that the blame for this must be placed upon the shoulders of the clubs, which should be in a position to prevail upon members retiring from active cricket to join the association. Umpires were provided for all senior matches last season, but it was not always possible to provide fully for intermediate grade needs. Members of the association officiated in the local Plonket Shield matches, and also gave their services on several other occasions. The finances are reported as being in a satisfactory condition, and the thanks of the association are extended to the members and to the clubs who assisted in this direction, also to a number of other sympathisers whose help in various directions was appreciated.
