BIG PURCHASE BY BRITAIN Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright CANBERRA, September 19. (Received September 20, at 8 a.m.) The Minister of Customs (Mr Lawson) told the House of Representatives to-day that Britain had bought 290,000 tons of Australian sugar at 7s 6d a cwt.
