INCREASED CULTIVATION
NORTHERN IRELAND'S PLANS (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. September 18. (Received September 19. at 1 p.m.) The Ministry of Information announces that the scheme of the Ministry of Agriculture in Northern Ireland for increased cultivation provides that farmers of 10 acres or over shall have one-fifth of their total arable land cultivated in 1940.. The aim is to secure 250,000 acres in village areas, and it is confidently expected that this will be reached.
