SPIRITUALIST CHURCH
WAR AND THE LAW OF LIFE Dr J. M. Mooroy brought his mission to a close last night, his subject ‘The Law of Life.’ He said; Ike law which governs all expressions of life; on all planes, is that every action must have its appropriate reaction, that every cause must have its efleet, and man, in this physical realm, must learn the lessons brought to him by the jaw, or go on suffering the effects which his own thoughts and actions _ have caused; this is true for the individual, and for the nation and also for the whole race. The Great War (the war to end war as it was called at the time) changed many things, and since its close there have been still greater changes as it ushered in a new era of progress which has resulted in an ever increasing attention to material things, which plainly indicates, to the thoughtful mind, that the lesson of that war has not been learned by mankind. So another war is born out of the universal spirit of disharmony, and the world will never be free from war until man learns to love instead of having bate and vengeful feeling towards his fellow creatures.” “ The law of life means sacrifice, giving up old ideas and denying ourselves that another may benefit, for selfishness must bring its own reward of bitter experience. If you want happiness you must give it. To attain this end we must analyse ourselves and be honest in the examination and face our faults. When, we read, or listen to, war news do we do anything to help. We all know the power of thought, so must realise that to wish for peace again we can help only, in that direction, when we have peace in our own hearts and broadcast to all mankind thoughts of love and understanding.” A lady member assisted toe doctor by giving a number of clairvoyant messages. Mr HI. N. Hlidd presided.
