These fixtures are subject to alteration. JUNIOR T.T. Details to hand of the British Junior Tourist Trophy Race, decided on the Isle of Man last piopth, show that the Australian representative, F. J. Mussett (350c.c. Velocette) put up a really good performance. It transpires that, a few days before the race, Mussett sustained a nasty fall on the mountain circuit during practice on the tricky, tortuous course, and was taken to the hospital, although not detained there. His machine was not badly damaged. Such an occurrence wpuld naturally disconcert and to a degree unnerve even the most, phlegmatic speedster, but despite the crash, the Victorian crack took his place in the big field of star riders, stuck to bis task manfully, and finished tenth, with 2d other riders behind him. Mussett’s average speed for the 264 miles was 77,6 m.p.h.:—mo mean achievement for a visiting rider on a course so difficult to negotiate at high sneed-as the famous Isle of Man circuit. The Australian took 13min 44sec longer over the seven circuits than the winner, Stanley Woods (Velocette), who won by Bsec frppi H. L. Daniel, at an average speed of 83.19 m.p.h.
