NEW HEADLIGHT BULB

According to reports from U.S.A., among the new features of some of the 1940 American cars will be the widespread use of a new fighting system involving principally a now type headlight bulb which includes the reflector within the glass. It is stated that many of the car manufacturers have arranged for production licenses from those who developed the new lights, and will continue, therefore, to get their equipment from their own sources of supply. So far as is disclosed the new globe eliminates headlight shells and costly polished reflectors. In some cases, it is. said the new bulb will also have the lenses integral, meaning that only the bulb will be needed instead of most of the present equipment. The lighting characteristics of the new bulbs have not been disclosed. It is reported that the adoption of this bulb will mean the elimination of headlight shells from the exterior of the car.
