ANGELS OF MONS AGAIN

British soldiers who saw the “ Angels of Mons ” in 1914 were no more unbalanced than the hearth-rug dreamer who sees faces in the fire. This view was put forward by Dr MacDonald Critchley, of London, at the British Medical Association conference at Aberdeen a month ago. Dr P. K. M‘Cowan, of Dumfries, said that many people had similar visions. Ho added: “It would be somewhat presumptuous to hold that the experience of religions mystics and people like Paul, Moses, Shellev. and Joan of Arc wore illu.sionarf. 'My suggestion is that in their ecstatic "moments they recovered the clairvoyant powers originally possessed by every man.”
