LAWN TENNIS UNION

KENSINGTON CLUB The annual meeting was held with a good attendance of members and intending members. The election of officers, etc., resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr P. N. Shepherd; president, Mr F. Sims; vice-presidents, Mr W. Strang and Mrs J. Higgs; secretary, Mr E. Craig; treasurer, Mr E. R. Gallon; club captain. Mr S. Gibson; committee, Mr A. Christenson and Miss C. M'Kinnon; delegates, Messrs F. Sims and S. Gibson. During the evening the captain of the D grade team (Mr E. Keen) was presented with the Foote Cup and the members of the team with miniatures. The President congratulated members o fall teams for their performances during the past season. The balance sheet showed the club to be maintaining its position financially on a level with previous years. The opening date was fixed for Saturday, September 23.
