FATE OF FIXTURES UNCERTAIN JUNIOR AND INTERMEDIATE MEETING MAY BE HELD [By Hookee.] In view of the international situation, the fate of championship swimming fixtures in the coming season is still most uncertain, and there am doubts as to whether the national senior meeting at Wellington will be held. In Christchurch last week, however, Mr Baxter O’Neill, secretary of the New Zealand Swimming Council, told the writer that it was probable the intermediate and junior championship meeting, which has been allotted to Otago, would be adhered to. Intermediate swimmers are those under 17 on October 1 of the current season, anti juniors those under II on the same date. During the last war the intermediate anil juniors carried on—the h’Jter Jrom 191.7 and the former from 1918.
