HOME ECONOMICS ASSOCIATION
Musselburgh Rise Branch. The animal meeting of the Musselburgh Rise branch was held in the XK-esbyterian Sunday School Hall, Queen’s Drive, on Tuesday, September 6. The following office-bearers were elected President, Mrs Poison (reelected); vice-president, Mrs Race; secretary, Mrs Mercer (re-elected); committee—Mesdames Stephens, Watt, Summers, M'Cullough, Parnham, and Evans. After the monthly meeting was concluded Mr Tamiock gave a comprehensive talk on the kitchen garden. Mrs Harris proposed a hearty vota of thanks. Wakari Branch. The Wakari branch held its fortnightly meeting at the home of Mrs Jolly on Wednesday last. Miss Smith gave an interesting demonstration on the latest method of rug-making.
Maia Branch. Mrs Westwood (president) presided over the monthly meeting of the Maia branch held at the residence of Mrs Griffon on September 5. Mrs M'Connell, of the St. Kilda branch, was present, and final plans were made for the display of work in the Concert Chamber.
