YOUNG HIKERS LOST
SEARCH IN BLUE MOUNTAINS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, October 8. Anxiety is felt for the safety of four young hikers—John Birmingham (22), and his brother, Gerald (17), John Rogers (19), and Frederick Lane (17) —who have been lost in the foothills of the Blue Mountains since the weekend. They left their homes in Sydney on Saturday, hiking from Richmond to Blackheath, and intending to return on Monday night, since when they have not been reported. Several aeroplanes and 150 men are at present searching.
