WORK OF THE LEAGUE
BROADCAST PROPAGANDA URGED [Pee United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, October 8. A League of Nations Union deputation to the Prime Minister (Mr Savage) requested that the Government should take steps to develop’ a greater appreciation of the work of the League of Nations. The deputation was anxious that the question should be taken up more widely in the schools and in a broadcasting course. In reply, Air Savage said that the view of his Government was that the League of Nations was the only hope from the point of view of world peace and from the point of view of planning in industry. Anything the Government could do to facilitate broadcasting would be done. With respect to the oilier questions raised. Air Savage said ho would submit them to the Minister of Internal Affairs, including the idea of training men for administrative positions in Samoa,
