FEATURE OF LORD MAYOR'S SHOW HISTORICAL LONDON ASSOCIATIONS (British Official Wireless.) Press Association— By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, October G. _ Tho central feature of this year s Lord Mayor's Show on November 9 will ho a pageant entitled ‘ The City of London and Defence of the Realm.’ Tho historical association with the city of famous regiments will bo recalled and the earliest detachment of city troops represented will be gunners, archers, pike'nieii, and billincu in the white uniforms of 1593. Members of the Honourable Artillery Company will appear as trained ‘bands and auxiliaries of 1043, and men of the Grenadier Guards in the uniforms of ICG4 Foot Guards and the defence forces of later periods of history will be represented by other regiments closely associated with London, and finally tableaux will show London troops m trench warfare on the western front in 1915 and at Gallipoli in 1910, I’ :ls “ schcndaelo in 1917, and in the last advance in 1918.
