"CAT” BURGLARS AT WORK

DARING CLIMBS FDR BOOTY [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, October 7. A series of burglaries, the feature of which is the remarkable athletic prowess of those responsible, has been carried out in the mid-city area of Wellington recently. In many cases entry has been gained after the intruder had climbed on to the roof or had chosen some other daring means, calling for steady nerve and physical strength. The latest crime was carried out in Willis street, where the premises of Keans Ltd. were entered by climbing down the 30ft light well. The office and part of the shop were ransacked. The extent of the firm’s losses is not yet computed, but it is not expected to be heavy.
