CONTESTED WILL
QUESTION OF MENTAL CAPACITY [Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, October 7. Further evidence for the defence was given in the Supreme Court to-day during the hearing of an application to have probate of the will allegedly made by the late Elizabeth Smith revoked and the will declared' null and void. The plaintiffs were Olive Judge and Ivy Cookson, both of Christchurch, and the defendant was the Guardian Trust and Executors Company of New Zealand Ltd.
Giving evidence, Henry James Bigfins, an accountant of the Standard nsurance Company said he had seen Miss Smith, who held £12,000 worth of shares in the Standard Company, rummaging at night in city rubbish tins. The case is proceeding.
