ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
MARRIED WOMAN'S DEATH. Margaret Taylor, a married woman,51 vears of age, residing at 22 Marquis street, North-east Valley, was found hanging in the washhouse of her home last night. An inquest was held at the residence this afternoon. WINDPIPE PENETRATED. Severe bodily injuries, which proved fatal last evening, were received oa Monday afternoon by Ernest Hayward Morris, aged 50, a sawmiller, of Oxford. Sonic wood which he was cuttiniT with a power saw Hew up, and one paTt broke some ribs, which penetrated a lung, aud another part broke his chestbone, which penetrated his windpipe. A specialist was called from Christchurch, and though the lung injury was remedied the windpipe injury proved fatal. Morris was the proprietor of the mill where the accident occurred.
