(Received October 6, at 11.45 a.m.) Mr Kvnvashima, a special envoy from Tokio, arrived with secret instructions for the Japanese Ambasador, Mr Kawagoe. Marshal Chiang Kai-shek will consult the Executive Council to-morrow and will then open discussions with Mr Kawagoe, which, it is hoped, will lead to a settlement of the Sino-Japanese dispute. •"
