LITTLEBOURNE HOUSE
IDEAL HOMES EXHIBITION The homo of Sir John Roberts has been a landmark amongst the mansions of tho city for a generation, and most people resident in Dunedin are familiar with its beautiful setting on tho hilltop overlooking the Town Belt, and they have admired the magnificent trees in the native bush surrounding the house. Yet comparatively few have seen the wonderful view from its spacious lawns and choice gardens; fewer still have been privileged to wander up the winding stairways and observe the spacious halls and rooms. The house was modelled on a mansion in which Sir John Roberts lived in Scotland, and is a very fine type of nineteenth century home. Travellers abroad will often go long distances and pay high fees to enter some place of interest, historic or architectural, in a strange land. in Littlebourne House Dunedin has tho finest setting imaginable in any city, and through tho activity of tho Hundred Thousand Club it will be opened to the public and its rooms will contain the most up-to-date furnishings procurable from tho merchant houses of the city to-day. Tho exhibition will be opened next Saturday.
