LONG VOYAGE
IBS BAYS FROM GLASGOW NEW MOTORSHIP FOR COASTAL TRADE [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, October 3. Having taken 105 days to travel the 13,000 miles from Glasgow by way of the Mediterranean, the small motor ship Ranginui, built at the Clyde to the order of Mr George Niccol, of Auckland, for the coastal trade, arrived at Auckland this morning in charge of Captain A. H. Burgess, formerly of the Melanesian Mission yacht Southern Cross. She has a complement of tea men. The vessel called at Gibraltar and Port Said, and sheltered at Aden for a fortnight from the monsoonal gales. She battled against head winds in the Indian Ocean, and called at Singapore and Townsvdle. She proved a good sea boat. . Which trade she will enter will be decided on the owner’s return on Mondav from Australia.
