With the Secretary of State’s approval, Sir Edwin Harding, permanent Under-Secretary for Dominion Affairs, has accepted an invitation from the Government of South Australia to attend the centenary celebrations in Adelaide in December. Arrangements have also been made for him to make a short stay in New Zealand on his way out, and to spend a few days in the Commonwealth capital and the other Australian States. He will return to London early in February, During his absence Sir Harry Batterbee will act as Permanent Under-Secretary.
