BIG OUTPUT EXPECTED NINE VESSELS IN SEPTEMBER (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, September 29. It is expected that tho shipbuilding output of the Clyde this year will be the highest for six years. Nine vessels, totalling nearly 30,000 tons ; were launched in September, bringing the year’s output to date 74 vessels, agf regating nearly 215,000 tons. The 935 output has already been exceeded, and, with numerous vessels reaching the launching stage, the total tonnage this year may be well over the 300,000 mark. This, however, would still be below that of 1930, which was 529,000 tons The peak year in Clyde shipbuilding was jn 1913, when the tonnage total was 756,976.
