Time, 2min lOJsec, a race record. Odavale was unplaced in the Three and Four-year-old Handicap, and Prince Pombal and Cherry King were unplaced in the Flying Handicap. ASCOT RACES MELBOURNE, September 30. At the Ascot races Firebrick was second in the Maiden Hurdle Handicap. Night Club was third and Gay Songster unplaced in the Nullabor Maiden Handicap. Counterflight was unplaced in the Chelmsford Novice Handicap, and Capo Race and Valarth were unplaced in the Halsbury Welter Handicap.
