QUELLED BY WATERSIDERS ONLY SLIGHT DAMAGE DONE SHIP RESUMING NORMAL SCHEDULE [Pee United Pebsb Association.] NAPIER, September 30. The Wingatui berthed at the break-* water at 1 o’clock this morning, and a gang of watersiders immediately set to work moving the cargo from No. 3 hold in order to get at the seat of the outbreak. Fire extinguishers were used, but it was not necessary to employ hoses, and the outbreak was quelled after about three hours. The damage was confined to a charred bulkhead between the hold and the bunker, a few packages of general cargo, and a small quantity of lime. Nothing is known of the cause of the trouble. , The vessel was expected to sail it noon for Auckland. The position was never serious.
