(Received September 28, at 2 p.m.) While a mistress was escorting girts ranging in age from 14 to 18 years to the dormitory of a reformatory school in Boulogne they bound and gagged her and stole her keys. They raided the linen cupboards and* tore up the contents, and also cut the telephone 'Wires. Another mistress rushed to the police station and returned with gendarmes, whom a sympathetic crowd prevented from entering the building. Sixteen girls escaped, of whom only eight were recaptured.
