DISUNITY AMONG WORKERS
FREEZING UNION'S GESTURE [Per United Press Association.] / HASTINGS, September 28. A meeting of the Whakatu Freezing Workers’ Union resolved: “ That this meeting of the Whakatu Freezing Workers’ Union views with the gravest concern the disunity that exists in the ranks of the workers, and considers that, as disunity is detrimental to the general betterment of the interests <jf the members of this and all unioni, the best interests will be served by becoming members of the Wellington district union, with a view to giving a lead to the remainder of the unions not covered by the Wellington union.” The following resolution was passed: —“ That this meeting considers that, as the Minister of Labour appealed to the workers to close their ranks, and also stated that if the workers cannot accomplish this object themselves he will do the job for them, the Minister be now asked to give his full co-operation in reaching the desired position.”
