MOVEMENTS. —Coastal.— Gale, after docking for overhaul, loaded out on Saturday for Wellington and Wanganui via Timaru and Lyttelton. Storm is due to-morrow from Bluff and is to load and sail the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. Breeze is due here on Friday from Wellington, to load out the same day for Wellington and Wanganui via ports. Wainui is scheduled to sail to-morrow for Bluff, Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne. Waimarino is expected to leave Wellington this evening for Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. She is due here on Wednesday. Karu leaves Wellington on Saturday for Dunedin., She is due here to load out next Monday for Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth via ports. Waipiata is scheduled to leave Auckland on Friday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. She is due here on Wednesday, October 7. Kaimai is to leave Westport on Saturday for Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru. and Lyttelton. She is due here on Tuesday, October 6. Holmglen was expected this afternoon, and is scheduled to sail this evening for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, New Plymouth, and Port Waikato. Holmlea is due here on Wednesday from Wellington, to_ load and sail the same day for Wellington, New Plymouth, and Port Waikato via ports, Holmdale is due on Saturday to load out the same day for Wanganui, Picton, and Wanganui via Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton. —Overseas.— Tamaroa, at present loading Homeward at Port Chalmers, is expected to sail to-morrow for Wellington and Auckland to complete. Ashburton, which is discharging New York cargo at the Rattray street wharf, is to sail at daylight to-morrow for Townsville. Karetu sailed on Saturday evening for Oamaru. Timaru, Lyttelton, and Miramar to complete discharge of her Australian- cargo. Canadian Challenger sailed at noon on Saturday for Wellington, Napier, and Auckland, to complete loading for New York. Canadian Scottish arrived here yesterday, and after discharging and loading general cargo, will sail to-morrow for Port Kembla.' Wairangi is due at Port Chalmers on October 10 from London via Lyttelton. She is scheduled to leave here on October 14 for Bluff and Timaru to complete, and is then to load at Wellington, New Plymouth, Napier, and Auckland Chifuku Maru, from Miike via northern ports, arrived at Dunedin yesterday to_ complete discharge and continue loading. She was expected to sail to-day for Japan via Australia. Comliehank is not coming here now. and is expected to complete discharge of her phosphate cargo from Ocean Island at northern ports. Narbada is to dock to-morrow and will sail on Wednesday for Bluff, Newcastle, Singapore, and Calcutta Limerick is expected on Wednesday from Vancouver via Northern ports. She will sail on Thursday for Melbourne, Sydney. Fiji, and Vancouver. Waitaki is due to-morrow morning

She arrived at Auckland on September 14, and is due at Vancouver on Friday. Monterey left Sydney on September 16 fof Auckland and Los Angeles via Suva, Pago Pago, and Honolulu. She anived at Auckland on September 20, and is due at Los Angeles on Saturday. Maunganui left Sydney on September 24 for Wellington and San Francisco via Rarotonga and Papeete. Sbo was due at Wellington to-day and at San brancisco on October 16. Mariposa is to leave Sydney on October 14 for Auckland and San Francisco via Suva, Pago Pago, and Honolulu. In order to facilitate the searching for, and. if necessary, the rendering of assistance to aircraft in distress in the open sea, masters of ships are requested to make an entry in their deck log-books ot every aeroplane sighted in flight in the open seas, or in comparatively unfrequented waters whore aircraft are not usually seen. The entry should l state the time of observation and, if possible, the identification marks and any other details which will render identification of- the machine possible.
