Timaru, Lyttelton, and Miramar to complete discharge of her Australian- cargo. Canadian Challenger sailed at noon on Saturday for Wellington, Napier, and Auckland, to complete loading for New York. Canadian Scottish arrived here yesterday, and after discharging and loading general cargo, will sail to-morrow for Port Kembla.' Wairangi is due at Port Chalmers on October 10 from London via Lyttelton. She is scheduled to leave here on October 14 for Bluff and Timaru to complete, and is then to load at Wellington, New Plymouth, Napier, and Auckland Chifuku Maru, from Miike via northern ports, arrived at Dunedin yesterday to_ complete discharge and continue loading. She was expected to sail to-day for Japan via Australia. Comliehank is not coming here now. and is expected to complete discharge of her phosphate cargo from Ocean Island at northern ports. Narbada is to dock to-morrow and will sail on Wednesday for Bluff, Newcastle, Singapore, and Calcutta Limerick is expected on Wednesday from Vancouver via Northern ports. In order to facilitate the searching for, and. if necessary, the rendering of assistance to aircraft in distress in the open sea, masters of ships are requested to make an entry in their deck log-books ot every aeroplane sighted in flight in the open seas, or in comparatively unfrequented waters whore aircraft are not usually seen. The entry should l state the time of observation and, if possible, the identification marks and any other details which will render identification of- the machine possible.
